The speaker recalls an incident where they interrupted the grandfather during a counseling session, but the grandfather still took the time to acknowledge the speaker and give them money for the tooth. This experience taught the speaker the importance of valuing and making time for children, even in the midst of other responsibilities. The speaker also reflects on the tendency in ministry for older, more experienced ministers to look down on younger ones, and how their mother instilled in them the value of learning from everyone, regardless of their experience level.
