Today, we are starting a little mini-series on teaching strategies you can use at home. We are kicking off the series with scaffolding and the related strategy of gradual release. These are deliberate strategies teachers use to help kids master a skill WITHOUT throwing them in the deep end, letting them fail, or doing it for them. We talk about what these strategies are, why they work, and how you can use them at home with your kids.
