Acerca de esta escucha
In this episode Lee interviews Aleks Kalinich, a fellow graduate of the Standford CCARE program where they worked together to bring compassion into the world. Lee and Aleks discuss the place compassion has at work, how suffering is on a continuum, what happens when you don't deal with your own suffering, the power of having compassion for yourself, and so much more.
Since overcoming “burnout” and successfully beating advanced cancer, “Patient Lee” Tomlinson has been a man on a mission. A mission to reveal and reverse the catastrophic crisis caused by the rapid disappearance of compassion in healthcare. The absence of which has a hugely negative and sometimes fatal impact on patients and the far too often burned-out healthcare professionals who treat us.
Why? To insure that every patient gets treatment by equally medically competent and compassionate professionals. Which science has proven beyond any doubt must, MUST be present for the best, quickest patient outcomes and long-term health.
Join “Patient Lee” on this journey and mission to make the world a more compassionate and caring place! Learn insights to help loved ones and yourself in times of crisis. Hear interviews from all sides of the compassion crisis, including doctors, nurses and patients. Together we can make a difference in the world today.
