Tales from the Witcher showcases a serialized, original story set in the Witcher universe. Part audiobook and part Actual Play, these tales are written and narrated by Jacob Gerstel—and are based on the adventures of his Witcher tabletop roleplaying group.

We’ll follow the exploits of a stoic Bear School witcher, an alcoholic elven sorcerer, a resourceful craftsman, a lively bard, and others as they try to stay alive during the Third Northern War. There’s action and adventure, magic and the mundane, scheming and politics, elves and dwarves, war and peace, and—because it’s the Witcher—a touch of philosophy.

I have listed to hundreds and hundreds of audiobooks. I am very choosy about my reader. I am so impressed with this podcast. The stories are fun and true to the world of the Witcher. The reader has a manner of reading that keeps you caught up in the story.

I’m not incredibly far into the series and I’ve only just finished the High Considerations arc but my goodness this series is incredibly well done / written / narrated. Not many audio books and no actual play serializations make me shed a tear but this series has (especially because of the ending of High Considerations IV). I encourage anyone who is a fan of the Witcher to give this series a go! It’s on par with anything from the canon stories.

This is the absolute best D&D style podcast I have heard... ever. It is a well balanced and played campaign, and narrated perfectly by the author. thank you for all.thsy you've done, and I hope you can figure put how to continue but if not you really made me continue back into the realm of buying the Witcher tabletop manuals and trying to run my own campaign. I only hope I can do as well as you did, and hope to hear the next chapter soon from your own group.

High quality content, well written, narrated, lore friendly. Can't recommend enough.

I recently finished the books and the games and found this when looking for a podcast discussing the books or games. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that these are entirely new stories set in the witcher universe (very lore friendly). I think it took Jacob a few episodes to find his confidence as a narrator, but the writing and the characters are spot on from the jump. I'm sad that I've torn through the backlog and now I'm only getting one new episode per week!

Loved listening to this podcast, though it was more like listening to an audiobook than a podcast. Superbly well done and felt so true and organic to the Witcher universe. The story was great as well as the presentation and execution. As a Witcher junkie this was a staple for me. It got me into RPG tabletop games. Just wish it would have continued longer!

Well written and engaging. It’s easy to imagine these stories happening within the Witcher universe. Narrator/writer reads fluently with a steady flow, enunciates well, slightly changes voice when appropriate, and transmits feelings or meanings easily through his voice. I enjoy listening to his series
