Sometimes it's just easier to tell someone what you think they want to hear. To share the truth can be really hard. There are things that you risk. You may get into an argument because of opposing views. You may offend someone that you care about. You may actually lose a relationship that you value. So with so much to lose some may take the easy way out and just agree or tell them what they want to hear. But it is truly more important to be honest, even if it's inconvenient, and be willing to respond in kind than to just operate out of convenience. In the message Pastor Brown, as he continues in his series Walking Into the Light, shows us a lesson that Jesus taught from an example of honesty verses hypocrisy.

    Nov 19 2025

You're in the middle of working on a project that you have been wanting to take care of for a while. You have to hike over a nice distance in order to finish your work. Wow! In the middle of the hike you realize how hot it is outside and you really begin to feel tired. But you really want to finish. You don't want the sun to to down before you get to finish. Do you go ahead and take a break or do you keep going? Is it possible that by taking a break you may experience something that you were not anticipating? Could this be God leading you to rest for a few minutes? In this message as Pastor Brown begins a new series Walking Into the Light, he helps us to see when Jesus had this very experience and how His response is a wonderful example for us today.

To make matters even more difficult it was not just for you, but for someone that you loved very much and you knew that they truly had to have it. If you faced that situation what did you do? Did you ask? Or did you struggle to find someone else? There are times when we need to rely on others but we don't know how to approach it or how it will turn out. In this message as Pastor Brown concludes the series Speak To It he helps us see exactly how we should approach difficult times like this and what the Lord would have us to do.
