Chapter member, Larry Grainger asking: Do you or some of your listeners know what this line means, from "Citizens Arrest?" ANDY: Yeah. Misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace. Drove down main street with a cutout open and a real flying cloud. If you don't immediately recognize that line of dialog, you can be forgiven….mainly because I didn't remember it myself so if you don't recall it right away, I'll feel better. The quote kicks off from the first scene of Season 4, Episode 11, called "Citizen's Arrest" (it first aired back on December 2, 1963, which is a whopping 63 years ago from when this podcast drops). In this episode, Deputy Barney Fife, played by Don Knotts, is digging through some dusty old arrest records from past Mayberry sheriffs at the courthouse. He starts reading out loud one of those old misdemeanor charges from way back when.
