Astrid Lesuisse is my friend, a confidante and an inspiring woman in the art and creative industry. But above all, she is a creative strategist, an art manager with a strong business flair, a curator, an artist agent, an art PR and so much more.She was there for me when I first moved to Dubai, and I did my best to always be there for her too. We worked together, laughed together, and were disappointed by things almost at the same time. Yet we grew, a lot. We grew through our commitment to ethics, passion, talent, honesty, our love for life and art, and our natural ability to see beauty in almost everything.I am truly honored to share a little of her, and of us, with you all.

Stepping into Suzy Nassif’s studio in Al Quoz is like entering a Berlin dream settled gently in Dubai’s creative zone. You climb to the second floor of a quiet warehouse and suddenly you are embraced by a world that carries her nomadic pulse, her courage, and the presence of countless women painted with emotion, with depth, with fragments of Suzy herself in every face.

Today, I sit in this intimate mezzanine with three remarkable women whose energy fills the room in the most disarming way.
With us is Suzy Nassif, a Lebanese artist whose canvases breathe strength and poetry.
Next to her, the brilliant and ever dedicated ceramic artist Asma LARAIEDH, one of Tunisia’s strongest guardians of an ancient and extraordinary craft, shaping earth into timeless beauty.
And completing this exceptional trio is Hana Sammak El Kurdi, an educator, a curator, a manager, a moderator, and a woman who carries elegance in her thinking as much as in her presence.

Being in a room with three women I admire deeply is not the simplest task, yet it becomes a gift. Their strength lives in their refined vulnerability and their talent works like a muscle that keeps the heart and soul awake.

It is an honor and a true privilege to welcome them to this very special episode of Talkative with Ahmad, recorded here at the mezzanine of Suzy Nassif’s studio.

الدخول إلى استوديو سوزي نصيف في القوز يشبه الدخول إلى حلم من برلين استقر برفق في قلب المنطقة الإبداعية في دبي. تصعد إلى الطابق الثاني من مستودع هادئ وفجأة تجد نفسك محاطا بعالم يحمل نبضها المتنقل وشجاعتها وحضور نساء لا يحصى عددهن مرسومات بعاطفة وعمق وقطع من سوزي نفسها في كل وجه.

اليوم أجلس في هذا الميزانين الحميم مع ثلاث نساء استثنائيات تملأ طاقتهن المكان بطريقة تبعث على الدهشة.
معنا سوزي نصيف، الفنانة اللبنانية التي تتنفس لوحاتها قوة وشعرا.
وبجوارها الفنانة المبدعة والمخلصة دائما لعملها أسماء العريض، إحدى أبرز حافظات الحرفة التونسية العريقة التي تشكل الطين وتحوّله إلى جمال لا يزول.
وتكتمل هذه الثلاثية الرائعة بهنا سماك الكردي، المربية والقيّمة والمديرة والميسّرة، والتي تحمل الأناقة في فكرها بقدر ما تحملها في حضورها.

الجلوس في غرفة مع ثلاث نساء أعزّهن بهذا العمق ليس بالأمر السهل، لكنه يتحول إلى هدية. قوتهن تعيش في رقة ضعفهن الرفيع، ومهاراتهن تعمل كعضلة تُبقي القلب والروح يقظين.
