Hey beach lovers and wave riders! This is your coastal companion with the latest surf zone scoop for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Grab your boards and sunscreen because we've got a classic Caribbean forecast rolling in. Across most beaches, you're looking at surf heights hovering around 3 feet - perfect for some mellow riding and casual wave catching. The exception? Mayaguez and Southwest regions are sitting a bit lower at 2-foot swells.

Today's weather is playing a bit of hide and seek. Expect mostly cloudy conditions with scattered showers and those classic tropical isolated thunderstorms popping up. Winds are steady from the east at 5 to 10 mph, giving us that consistent Caribbean breeze.

Rip current risk is low everywhere, but don't get too comfortable. Our marine experts remind you that life-threatening currents can still surprise you near groins, jetties, reefs, and piers. Always stay alert and respect the ocean.

St. Croix is bringing a bit more attitude with slightly higher 4-foot surf today and stronger 15 to 20 mph winds. Culebra and Vieques are also seeing some spicier wind conditions around 15 mph.

Sunday looks similar but with slightly more sunshine breaking through the clouds. Expect partly sunny skies, continued east winds, and those intermittent tropical showers keeping things interesting.

Looking ahead to Monday through Wednesday, we're tracking gradually decreasing surf heights and a mix of partly sunny to mostly sunny conditions. Scattered showers will continue to be our background soundtrack.

Stay safe, stay stoked, and enjoy those beautiful Caribbean waters!

Surf's up, beach lovers! Today's looking like a mixed bag of tropical vibes across Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

For those hitting the waters around San Juan and the northeast coast, expect moderate rip current risks and waves dancing around 4 feet high. The weather's playing peek-a-boo with partly sunny skies and a chance of pop-up showers and thunderstorms. East winds will be blowing around 10 to 15 mph, so hold onto your beach umbrellas!

Heading west to Aguadilla and Mayaguez, you'll find similar conditions with surf heights around 3 to 4 feet. The day starts sunny but clouds will roll in faster than a Caribbean afternoon storm. Scattered showers might crash your beach party, so pack that waterproof gear.

Over in the Virgin Islands, St. Thomas and St. Croix are serving up some serious wind action with east breezes hitting 15 to 20 mph. Surf's looking solid at 4 feet with a moderate rip current risk. Expect a mix of sunshine and those classic tropical scattered showers.

Weekend warriors, heads up! Surf heights will mellow out to around 3 feet across most regions. Cloudy skies and scattered thunderstorms are your forecast companions. Winds will ease up, making for a more relaxed maritime experience.

Bottom line: Stay alert, watch those rip currents, and enjoy the tropical maritime playground. Stay safe and surf smart!

Surf's up, beach lovers! Get ready for some epic wave action across Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Today's looking like a surfer's paradise with moderate rip current risks and some seriously sweet swells.

Expect around 5-foot waves rolling in from the east, with winds picking up to 10-15 mph in most areas. San Juan, Northeast PR, and North Central regions are serving up the most consistent surf conditions. Culebra and St. Croix are gonna see some gnarly 20 mph east winds to really amp up those waves.

Weather-wise, we're looking at mostly sunny skies with scattered showers to keep things interesting. Wednesday brings a bit more drama with numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon. Surf heights will drop slightly to around 4 feet, but don't let that stop you from catching some killer rides.

As we cruise into Thursday and Friday, expect a mix of mostly sunny and partly cloudy conditions. The surf remains solid at 3-4 feet, perfect for intermediate and advanced riders. Weekend warriors should prep for more cloud cover and increased shower activity.

Pro tip: While the rip current risk is moderate, always stay alert near groins, jetties, and reefs. These areas can create unexpected current challenges.

Whether you're in Aguadilla, St. Thomas, or Vieques, the Caribbean is calling your name. Grab your board, sunscreen, and a sense of adventure - these waves are waiting for you!

Stay stoked and stay safe out there, beach riders!
