Otago make a clutch play through first-five Cam Millar (and a rather dodgy drop goal attempt) to push out a valiant Mooloos team in the dying seconds. Season leaders Canterbury get the scare of their life from the spirited Counties Manukau underdogs, but manage to scrape a win together in extra time, in true Canterbury fashion. And it’s two wins for the two Bays, as they see out the two T’s - Taranaki and Tasman. We preview this weekend games - who will win the battle of blue & gold and will the Magpies pick at a tired Canterbury carcass and fly off to their second final in two years? Either way, we’ve decided that the NPC is the greatest rugby competition on earth…behind Super Rugby of course.
