Super Mario Galaxy was perhaps the obvious choice for inspiration for the next Mario movie - from it's emotive backstories, cinematic score and awe-inspiring moments, it really feels like it belongs on the big screen with the best Science Fiction epics and Space Operas.

Super Mario Bros. 3 was the original GTA 6. Delayed for years in the West, the long-awaited TRUE sequel to Mario Bros. came with it's own cartoon series, comics, Happy Meal toys and live-action promotional movie - so when the game finally came out, it sure was lucky that it was one of the best of all time.

Did you know that six years before Super Smash Bros, there was a fighting game bringing together various Mario characters for an all-out brawl to the death!?

If you didn't, you are forgiven for not knowing about the bizarre, Chinese bootleg fan game KART FIGHTER - infamous to some as the worst fighting game of all time, beloved by others for being that Street Fighter mashup of our dreams.
