Jesus returns to to his disciples to offer peace first, and then hope. With a renewed sense of purpose, Jesus calls the disciples to leave the locked room they are in and declare what they have seen. One person missed the event.

In an episode like none before it, I invited three friends for a draft of seven rounds, choosing books as if they were the only ones we have for the next three years. We also invited two friends after the draft to offer analysis of the picks made and not made. This is only the beginning of our pursuit to make the Bible approachable, relatable, and transformational!

Every Easter, churches must choose which version they will read, but we will read each account of the resurrection, overlay famous paintings of the events, and compare the highlights of each story to get the full picture of the event.

The significant highs and lows, hope and despair, joy and sadness that is found in only four chapters is the reason I love the book of Jonah. We read the entire book in this episode and ask three questions each time: 1) what does this chapter say about God? about human beings? about the relationship between God and human beings?

Following decades of pain and loss due to a military defeat, the people are allowed to return to their homeland. Haggai tells them to focus on rebuilding the temple, so their community will be restored.

A series of speeches designed to motivate and direct the people returning home to rebuild their community, homes, and worship space. God gives difficult directions, but says "I am with you".
