The power of love.
Suleika is my connection to my sister Diane who also was treated for leukemia but lost her battle back in 1990 at age 23. Diane was only the 3rd patient to undergo a 2nd bone marrow transplant at Sloan Kettering. Fast forward 32 years, Suleika was able to survive and thrive after her 2nd bone marrow transplant . My sweet sister knew that her decision to try this new treatment may not help her but could help someone in the future. I struggled to know why her life was so hard ,and at the end so painful. God revealed to me through Suleika that someone like her could be given a second chance at life so she can be an example to us all to recognize the beauty of life, family, and even strangers. The love she has for life and the love she shares with John is so beautiful and a gift to us all. Thank you Hoda for inviting this wonderful couple on your show.

And thank you for your story Suleika Jaouad! Hoda Kotb is an inspiration of her own but Wow!!! What a story and amazing human Suleika is! Your story is powerful and transformational. Hoda’s voice isn’t at all overpowering and she lets the guest just speak their truths. I can’t wait to listen to these for many more for years to come!!!!

The entire series.
This is a great way to see into the lives of people who seem not human but human due to being just like a normal person even though they are celebrities. It’s inspirational and encouraging. It’s funny and sad. Its a feel good podcast.
