  • Building Local Business Episode 5 - Tammy Crossway
    Dec 8 2025

What started seven years ago in a tiny 1,800 sq ft room with just a couple of days a week has exploded into one of the Mohawk Valley’s favorite shopping destinations.

Renewed & Rescued on North Main Street in Herkimer now fills nearly 12,000 square feet, boasts 42 vendors, over 500 consignors, and draws customers from as far away as Japan and South America.

In a brand-new episode of the Building Local Business podcast, owner Tammy Crossway sat down with host Carl Ulinski to share the remarkable journey: from quitting her nonprofit CFO career after a “mid-life crisis,” to taking over the old Wakefield Furniture space next door, opening seven days a week, and still having a waiting list for new vendors.

The Coach Dave Schuman, VOICE OF REASON FRANK CRISTIANO, and Steve Cully talk political news, give our insights, along with top analysis. Starting with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem wanting to institute a travel ban on citizens from over 30 countries. This comes on the heels of a man from Afghanistan who allegedly shot two National Guard members. Rahmanullah Lakanwal, who emigrated to the U.S. from Afghanistan after the U.S. withdrawal, has been charged with first-degree murder after one of the two victims, West Virginia National Guard Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, died of wounds sustained in the Nov. 26 shooting. The second victim, Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe was critically wounded. Lakanwal has pleaded not guilty. Noem issued a scathing tweet saying these illegal immigrants are leeches and we do not want them here! Frank believes there should be a program in place for illegals who are contributing to society, working a job, paying taxes, and having a way to come forward and go through a process to become American citizens. Dave believes that illegals have to go regardless of whether they are causing problems or not. We can't take care of our country until we take care of ourselves first, and that means removing illegals. We also talk about the Russia and Ukraine conflict, Russia continues to attack Ukraine, and there are major cities that Putin wants. Frank believes that if Zelensky gives up the land, it will stop the war. Dave thinks giving Putin what he wants is only going to make him go after more. A wild episode of Rebel Republic.

  • Tiffany and Friends Episode 40 - Cody Connor
    Nov 28 2025

My guest is Cody Connor. If you’re local, you probably have heard of him through the years! A stand-up guy- when you hear his name, everyone says - Oh yeah, we love him!

I asked him to be my guest this week, and I wasn’t really sure why - perhaps it was because he and his fiancée Jessica have launched a new Airbnb, but through our conversations prepping for today’s talk, it seemed to be evident “why.”

I hope you’ll enjoy this great podcast of faith and testimony from an everyday local guy like you and me. Be Blessed.

Now in its 26th year, the beloved Gram Lorraine Children’s Christmas Program continues to match generous sponsors with hundreds of local children who might otherwise wake up to an empty Christmas morning. Coats, boots, bikes, and even Christmas trees are part of the giving this year, and late-arriving families mean more sponsors and donations are still desperately needed.

Coach Dave Schuman, VOICE OF REASON FRANK CRISTIANO, and Steve Cully discuss our republic. Talk of Trump's assassin having 17 different social media accounts was leaked after being kept private. Trying to say the man was a ghost who acted alone is not at all accurate. We talk about the rise in health care costs. Frank believes we have enough money and intelligence to provide genuine universal health care that is a better system than those in other countries. The rising cost of a college education, where kids graduating expect to make six figures, enjoy paid vacations, pensions, and 401 (k) s. But no sweat equity.
