    Allyson Mouron, from our community group in Mountain Brook, Alabama, shares her journey of faith and trust in Jesus as she struggled with infertility and then the sudden loss of both her father and her best friend. Through brokenness, hardship, and pain, Allyson reminds us the importance of learning to let go of control and find rest in surrendering to the One Who controls it all.

    IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN:

    - The safest and easiest place to be is a place of surrender.

    - Rest and peace are found in refocusing your mind.

    All of us desire to follow God’s calling on our lives - living on purpose and for purpose. However, the world and its enticements can leave us searching for fulfillment in all the wrong places.

    Today’s storyteller, Morgan Tyner, from our community group in Fairhope, Alabama, shares her journey of following what she thought was God’s plan for her life as a social media influencer, only to find herself full of anxiety, fear, and numbness. It was in her loneliness that God met Morgan through the simple act of breathing and led her in a totally different direction and purpose in life. This story will leave you longing to inhale the Lord’s presence and exhale the noise of the world.

    IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN:

    - Your life is more about the legacy you leave than the happiness you experience.

    - God’s calling on your life can change, but He never does.

    - The simple act of breathing mimics the name of God.

    Jackie Newell, from our community group in Tupelo, Mississippi, grew up in church and knew from an early age that Jesus was her Savior. However, it wasn’t until she experienced devastating tragedy and loss that God became real to her as she immersed herself in Scripture and was faced with the fact that she either believed God’s Word or she didn’t. Jackie’s unwavering faith in a Father Who shines brightest in our darkest places will encourage you to look for God’s presence and see life from an eternal perspective.

    IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN:

    - It is important to remember in the darkest moments of life what you believed in the light.

    - In tragedy, you can either wallow in your loss or believe God has something for your future.

    - God did not give you a spirit of fear - He has called you to a life of freedom!

  • Life is Hard, but God is Good:: Alice Churnock’s Story :: [Episode 331]

    "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds.” James 1:2

    Alice Churnock, from our Vestavia, Alabama community group, shares her story of suffering from a bleeding disorder for thirty years, which stamped shame and embarrassment on her soul and ultimately led her to intense anger with God as the complications from her disorder led her to difficulties having children.

    However, after experiencing an unexpected and abrupt miscarriage, God met Alice, as only a loving and good Father can, and brought her to a deeper faith and ultimately a healed body. This story will encourage you to know that God can handle your anger and questions, but you must also be ready to listen for His answers.

    IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN:

    - God uses pain and trauma to grow your faith more than He uses the blessings He has given you - the blessings are often a byproduct of the pain.

    - God is relational, and in a relationship, there is speaking AND listening by BOTH parties.

    - Joy is an inner attitude regardless of your circumstances.

  • The Healing Power of Scripture:: Sheryl Trawick’s Story :: [Episode 330]

    When you deal with a chronic illness, it’s easy to question God and wonder if He even sees you. Everyone around goes on with their lives while you are left struggling with how to live each day.

    This is exactly what today’s storyteller, Sheryl Trawick, from our Fairhope, Alabama community, experienced after being diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, an autoimmune disorder where her body was attacking her peripheral nervous system (the control center of her body’s communication system).

    However, instead of staying stuck in her thoughts of despair, Sheryl decided to pour herself into God - seeking healing verses of Scripture to speak over her body. Through a whisper from the Lord, her faith began to shift, and a miracle of healing began to happen. This a story that is going to remind you of the power found in God’s Word!

    IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN:

    - Scripture can serve as medicine for the soul as well as the body.

    - Peace is only found through the presence of God.

    - God is still in the business of performing miracles.

    Erica Spivey, from our community group in Raleigh, North Carolina, grew up with a Jewish heritage, thinking her value rested in her actions and accomplishments - an untruth that left her empty, depressed, and ultimately alone when she found herself in the middle of an abortion clinic. But God, in His unconditional love and faithfulness, used her most guilt-ridden and shameful moment to pursue her heart.

    Listen in as Erica recounts the ways in which God brought her from religion to relationship and how He is still taking the darkness of her past and using it for redeeming Kingdom purposes.

    IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN:

    - No matter what your past holds, God chose you and appointed you to go and bear His fruit. (John 15:16)

    - When you open your heart to God, He will meet you right where you are.

    - You were created in God’s image and because of that alone, you have worth and value.
