Day 76 — Courage to Obey
📖 Joshua 1
Moses is gone.
A new generation stands on the edge of the Promised Land.
And now Joshua must lead.
Imagine the weight of that moment. Moses had led Israel for forty years. He had spoken with God face to face. And now Joshua is stepping into leadership after one of the greatest figures in biblical history.
God knows the challenge Joshua is facing, so He gives him a clear command:
“Be strong and courageous.”
But Joshua’s courage wasn’t supposed to come from personality, strength, or leadership ability. God tells him exactly where his courage must come from:
God’s Word.
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night.” (Joshua 1:8)Joshua’s success would not come from strategy or military power—it would come from obedience to God.
Joshua 1 reminds us that real courage is not reckless confidence.
True courage is trusting God enough to obey Him.
When we anchor our lives in God’s Word, we discover the strength we need to step forward in faith.
