    Feb 26 2026

What would happen if you stopped being afraid to be seen? Most of us want deep connection, real love, and authentic relationships — yet we remember the moments vulnerability backfired, was misunderstood, or used against us. That fear quietly teaches us to armor up, perform, or stay surface-level.

    But here’s the truth:

“Vulnerability is the courage that inspires freedom in yourself & others.”— Amanda Sharp

In this episode, we explore what vulnerability actually is — and what it is not. This conversation goes far beyond surface-level advice and into the real-life tension between emotional openness, boundaries, trust, faith, and self-protection.

    You’ll hear honest reflections on:

    • Why vulnerability feels unsafe after emotional wounds
    • How to tell the difference between healthy vulnerability and oversharing
    • Why emotional connection is deeper than physical attractionHow vulnerability creates real intimacy in dating and marriage
    • What happens when vulnerability is used manipulatively
    • How fear of being seen blocks connection and spiritual growth
    • Why vulnerability exposes character — not just emotion
    • How to stay emotionally open without abandoning discernment
    • The role of God in healing betrayal, shame, and broken trust

This episode is for anyone who:

    • Struggles with fear of rejection or abandonment
    • Has been hurt after opening their heart
    • Wants deeper emotional intimacy without losing themselves
    • Feels torn between guarding their heart and staying open
    • Desires relationships rooted in honesty, safety, and faith

    Vulnerability is not weakness.

    It is courage in action.

And it may be the missing key to the connection you’re craving.

Listen now and discover why being fully known is the doorway to real freedom.

    Amanda Sharp

Today’s episode of the Still With Purpose Podcast dives deep into one of the most difficult spiritual practices for many believers: trusting God with today and releasing control of tomorrow.

“How much peace have you traded trying to control what God already promised to handle?”

In this conversation, Amanda & Christy explore fear, worry, anxiety, and future forecasting through a biblical lens. We unpack the powerful meaning of daily bread, why God refuses to give answers for tomorrow, and how trying to store up certainty actually creates more stress, suffering, and spiritual disconnection.

    • Is learning how to surrender worry and walk in faith daily

We discuss how worry is often rooted in control, pride, worthiness issues, and lack of trust—not just in God, but in ourselves.

Using real-life stories, scripture, and honest faith experiences, we show how peace is available when we stop living in tomorrow and fully step into today.

Key topics covered in this episode:

    • What “daily bread” really means in the Bible
    • Why God doesn’t answer tomorrow’s questions
    • How fear and love cannot exist in the same space

  • 26 Episode - Tribute to Mary Virginia
    Feb 5 2026

This week on Still With Purpose, we chose not to release a normal episode.Instead, we paused to honor the life of Mary Virginia Stacey, a beautiful soul who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly due to complications from influenza at just 15 years old.

Mary was Christy’s daughter’s lifelong best friend. They grew up together, dreamed of going to college together, becoming roommates, raising pets, and sharing a long life of friendship side by side. She was not just a friend, but family. To Christy, her husband, and their younger daughter, Mary felt like one of their own, another sister in their home.

Mary leaves behind two loving parents and three siblings, including her twin brother, and many extended family members, all of whom are grieving a loss no family should ever have to endure.

In this tribute, Christy shares from the heart about the pain of losing someone so young, the ripple effect grief has on children, families, and entire communities, and why it is okay to stop and sit with that pain instead of pushing forward like nothing has changed.

This tribute includes a photo video shared through the lens of a best friend’s mom, capturing years of deep friendship, love, laughter, and memories. You will see Christy’s children throughout the photos along with many others - a reflection of how closely their lives were woven together, and you will feel the love that radiated from Mary and her smile that truly lit up every room.

Together, we acknowledge that while we believe God has a plan and purpose, tragedy does not always come with answers. This episode is not about fixing grief or rushing healing. It is about honoring a life, allowing space for loss, and recognizing how precious and fragile life truly is.

We invite you to spend a few quiet moments with us. You can watch the video tribute or simply listen and reflect on loved ones you have lost, where you are in your own grieving process, and the gratitude that comes from having loved deeply.

If you are grieving, you are not alone.

If your heart is heavy, this space is for you.

    We will return next week.

Until then, hug your loved ones tight.

  • 25 Episode - Why You Don’t Change: The Undisciplined Self You Keep Choosing
    Jan 29 2026

Growth And Discipline Begins Where Comfort Ends.– Amanda Sharp

What if the biggest battle of your life isn’t the enemy, other people, or your circumstances… but the undisciplined version of you that you allow?

In this raw and eye-opening conversation, Amanda and Christy take you deep into the internal fight every person faces: the tension between your disciplined self who wants transformation and your undisciplined self who craves comfort, avoidance, and the familiar.

This episode exposes the patterns that quietly sabotage your calling — the excuses, the blame, the hiding, the self-righteousness, the shame, the emotional addictions, and the beliefs that keep you small.

    Inside this episode you’ll hear:

    • Why comfort feels safe but silently destroys your growth
    • How the undisciplined self keeps you stuck in cycles of self-sabotage
    • Why discipline is choosing who you want to become, not what feels good
    • How shame loses its power the moment it’s brought into the light
    • The spiritual truth that transformation starts with surrender
    • The addictions no one talks about (validation, people-pleasing, ego, negativity, numbing, avoidance)
    • Why some areas of your life get your discipline — and others get your excuses
    • How God uses repentance, humility, and accountability to reshape your entire life

Amanda and Christy share personal stories, spiritual breakthroughs, and the painful yet powerful moments when God exposed the parts of themselves that comfort was hiding.

This episode will challenge the way you see discipline, comfort, calling, and the person you are becoming.

  • 24 Episode - Living From Love, Not For Approval—The Shift That Changes Everything
    Jan 22 2026

Do It From Love Not For Love– Amanda Sharp

What if the version of “love” you’ve been giving isn’t really love at all—but a disguised form of people-pleasing, self-abandonment, or enabling?

In this deep and candid conversation, we take a hard look at the patterns so many of us fall into: over-giving, over-apologizing, absorbing the emotions of everyone around us, and calling it kindness.

We unpack the difference between doing things for love versus doing things from love—and why one leads to resentment and depletion, while the other leads to real connection, peace, and spiritual alignment.

We explore why people-pleasers are often not praised while silently suffering, how boundaries feel terrifying when your value is tied to being needed, and how easily manipulative dynamics form when you don’t know your worth.

From faith to friendship, singleness to marriage, parenting to past trauma, we get honest about the journey of untangling your identity from the approval of others.

    You’ll hear us dive into:

The hidden control issues behind people-pleasing

Why “kindness” that costs you your peace is not love

The trap of performing for belonging

Over-apologizing and shrinking to keep the room comfortableHow resentment grows when love isn’t reciprocated

The void only God can fill

What it means to serve from love, not for it

The spiritual work of putting God first in relationships

The identity crisis when people no longer need you

Why enabling stunts growth (yours and theirs)

Reclaiming your voice, your limits, and your God-given identity

This episode is an invitation to step out of the cycle of earning love and into a healthier, holier, more grounded way of connecting—with God, with others, and with yourself.

If you’ve ever felt exhausted from being the strong one, the helper, or the fixer, this conversation will meet you right where you are.
