Are you ready to make Bible study a priority? Would you love to be more familiar with the stories and passages in scripture? Do you long to connect with God and strengthen your faith?

Friend, you are in the right place. This podcast will help you understand your Bible, apply verses to your life, and become more confident with the who, where, and why in scripture

Hi, I’m Angie. I’m a pastor and Bible teacher. For years, even though I knew God loved me, I still dealt with defeating doubts about my value and purpose. It wasn’t until I began deeply studying the Bible that I experienced a heart transformation that allowed me to recognize the lies of the enemy that kept me stuck in shame and defeat. Studying scripture allowed me to stand firm on God’s promises that offer peace, joy, hope, and rest. I created a Step By Step Bible study method that teaches you to find life application in one word of scripture, and I will share it with you in these episodes.

If you crave a deep dive into scripture…

Bible study tools you can trust…

And a method designed to equip you to study with confidence…

Then, pull up a seat at our table, open your heart, and prepare to hear God speak directly to you.

  • 349 | Why God Asks Us to Remember
    Jan 14 2026

Passover teaches us about remembering God’s faithfulness.

From the earliest pages of Scripture, God repeatedly calls His people to remember. Remember His covenant. Remember His miracles. Remember the stories that shaped their faith so they could trust Him in the present.

In this episode, Angie continues the Gather series with Luke 2:41 and explores how the annual rhythm of Passover invited God’s people, including Jesus Himself, to rehearse the story of deliverance again and again.

What you’ll hear in this week’s episode

    • Why Passover is was a testimony of God’s rescue, provision, and steadfast love
    • How first-century Jewish families traveled to Jerusalem each year, creating a worship rhythm Jesus grew up participating in
    • Commentary insights about the significance of Jesus’ family observing Passover
    • A moving story about Angie’s son, Alex, and how God showed His presence in an unexpected moment at an airport gate
    • A lie we often believe about God “not showing up like He used to,” and the grounding truth found in Psalm 77:11–15
    • How remembrance becomes an act of worship that strengthens our confidence in God today

  • 348 | What It Means to Worship in Spirit and in Truth
    Jan 7 2026

What does it really mean to worship “in spirit and in truth”?

As we step into a new year, many of us are longing for worship that feels real. Not routine. Not performance. Not something we do because the calendar says Sunday.

In this episode, Angie opens the Gather podcast series with Jesus’ words from John 4:24 and unpacks how true worship begins with posture, not place.

What you’ll hear in this week’s episode

    • Why Jesus’ conversation with the Samaritan woman reframes worship from where we gather to how we bow our hearts
    • Insight from 2 Kings about counterfeit worship and why institutionalized religion still tempts us today
    • A warm, vulnerable story from Angie about a worship moment that marked her spiritual journey
    • What the Greek word proskyneō reveals about worship as affection, surrender, and awe
    • Commentary insights from trusted voices like Tony Evans and Craig Blomberg on worship that is biblically anchored and spiritually authentic
    • A common lie the enemy whispers about “following the rules” and the freeing truth of Galatians 2:16

  • 347 | God’s Promise for the Year Ahead Isn’t Success—It’s Peace
    Dec 31 2025

Do you ever wonder what God’s plan to “prosper” you really means?

Maybe you’re stepping into the new year with mixed emotions. You feel hopeful in some ways, weary in others. In this episode, Angie shares encouragement from Jeremiah 29:11 to remind you that God’s plans are never about pressure or performance. They’re about peace.

What you’ll hear in this week’s episode

    • A fresh look at what “I know the plans I have for you” really means when life doesn’t go as planned
    • The difference between the kind of success the world promises and the kind of security only God can give
    • Why God’s definition of prosperity (shalom) isn’t about getting more, but becoming whole
    • Wisdom from trusted voices like Tony Evans and Charles Spurgeon reminding us that God is always at work, even when we can’t see it
    • Angie’s honest story of enrolling in a costly program that felt all wrong in the moment, but how God used it to grow peace and purpose on the other side
    • A closing reflection to help you start 2026 trusting the Planner more than the plan
