St. Oliver Plunkett: Irish Martyr

Ireland has long been a land torn by violent division between Catholics and Protestants. Born into this conflict Oliver was no stranger to persecution. Yet he continued to serve the Lord in his vocation, in spite of the threat to his life. 

Saint Oliver Plunkett 1625-1681. Feast day: July 1.
