This week we go back in time with former St Kilda midfielder Tony Brown. Tony reminisces about his career, reflects on some of special moments during his time in the game.
A Geelong product, Tony was selected by St Kilda Football Club with pick 7 in the 1994 National Draft, a draft that also featured Aussie Jones, Joel Smith and Stephen Sziller. A classy left-footed midfielder, Tony played 108 games across his career with the Saints.
He was part of St Kilda’s 1996 Ansett Cup premiership side and also featured in the club’s memorable 1997 AFL Grand Final campaign.
In this episode, Tony talks about a number of topics including the 1997 Grand Final, the star power in the Saints’ line-up, finishing his AFL career relatively young, and his off-field work within the AFL system.
A great listen with the 118th member of 'The 90's Club Footy Podcast'.
