The team at Sport Law is committed to uplifting the sector, and we want to do our part by offering candid conversations on the current state of sport and share our insights to better address issues related to governance, safe sport, leadership challenges, trends in human relations and so much more. Partners Steve Indig and Dina Bell-Laroche will be co-hosting the bi-weekly conversations, spending 30 minutes on topics affecting the sport sector with a view of leaving listeners more informed and confident to tackle some of the issues affecting sport. In addition, Sportopia will be a gathering place to invite other thought leaders who are committed to elevating the sport sector. The podcast is meant to answer burning questions from sport leaders, so we are inviting listeners to share ideas for future topics and to ask questions you’d like for us to tackle. Starting next week, listen and submit questions and comments via email and social media (@sportlawca) to have your say in conversations about healthy, human sport! For all the updates be sure to subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social media! The Sportopia Podcast is recorded on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Indigenous Peoples of Canada. We wish to thank these First Peoples who continue to live on these lands and care for them, and whose relationship with these lands existed from time immemorial. We are grateful to have the opportunity to live, work, and play on these lands. Sport Law is committed to recognizing, supporting, and advocating for reconciliation in Canada and to actively work against colonialism by amplifying Indigenous voices and increasing our own understanding of local Indigenous peoples and their cultures. Please note: Some episodes may deal with potentially sensitive content that some may find difficult. If that is true for you, remember that you can reach out to a trusted advisor or a certified mental health professional.
