Spilling the Manatee

In part two of a special three-part Trail to Tide series spotlighting the women of the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, I sit down with Kelly Lambert of the SCDNR Manatee Program. Kelly shares what it's like working on the front lines of manatee research and conservation in South Carolina, where sightings are increasing and public awareness is more importnat than ever. From tracking movements and responding to reports, to educating the general public about we all can do to keep manatees safe, this episode highlights the science, stewardship and passion behind protecting these gentle giants.
