    Pray for Workers

    Scripture: Matthew 9:38

“Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.”

    Reflection:
Jesus asked the disciples to pray—and then immediately called them to be the answer to their own prayers. Often, what we pray about is exactly what God calls us to participate in.

    Application:
Today, pray for more workers in God's kingdom. But also ask: “Lord, how can I be one of them?”

    Prayer:
Lord of the harvest, raise up workers to go into the field. And if You’re calling me—here I am, send me. Amen.

    Discussion Questions:

    1. Have you been faithfully praying for more workers in the harvest? Why or why not?

    2. In what ways might God be asking you to be part of the answer to your own prayers?

    3. What’s one small step you can take this week to get more involved in God’s mission?

    See What Jesus Sees

    Scripture: Matthew 9:36

“When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.”

    Reflection:
Jesus wasn’t moved by numbers—He was moved by compassion. He saw the inner condition of people. He saw their brokenness and need for guidance. His mission flows from His love.

    Application:
Ask Jesus to help you see people the way He sees them—not as problems, but as precious souls in need of grace.

    Prayer:
Lord, open my eyes to see others with Your heart. Let Your compassion move me to action. Amen.

    Discussion Questions:

    1. Think of someone in your life who may be “harassed and helpless.” How can you show them Jesus’ compassion today?

    2. When you see a crowd or group of people, what thoughts usually fill your mind?

    3. How can growing in compassion change the way you live and serve?

    Jesus Is Still at Work

    Scripture:

“Jesus went through all the towns and villages... preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.”
    — Matthew 9:35

    Reflection:
The mission did not stop with Jesus—it continues through us. He could have done it alone, but He chose to involve ordinary people. You are not starting something new. You’re continuing something eternal.

    Application:
Don’t be afraid to join the mission. Jesus is not asking you to do it alone. He is still healing, still saving, and still working—through you.

    Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You that Your mission continues today. Help me to remember that I’m not alone. Use me as Your vessel today. Amen.

    Discussion Questions:

    1. What is one area in your life where you sense Jesus inviting you to join Him in His mission?

    2. How does it change your perspective to know that Jesus is still doing the work—through you?

    3. What fears or doubts do you need to surrender in order to step out in obedience?

Aligning Your Heart with God’s Heart

    Luke 15:32 (NIV)
"But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found." 🎉🙏

    Explanation:
The father’s words to the elder brother capture the heart of God: “We had to celebrate.” God’s joy in saving the lost isn’t optional — it’s essential to His nature. Sharing God’s Joy

    Luke 15:10 (NIV)
"In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." 🎉👼

    Explanation:
The angels rejoice, and heaven celebrates every soul that turns back to God. Serving the Lord isn’t just about doing the right things — it’s about sharing in His joy. When our service becomes mere duty, we miss the heart of God. True ministry flows from delight in seeing lives transformed by grace. ✨❤️

  • The Danger of a Bitter Heart
    Jul 23 2025

The Danger of a Bitter Heart

    Luke 15:28-30 (NIV):

"The older brother became angry 😠 and refused to go in 🚪. So his father went out and pleaded with him 🙏. But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you 💼 and never disobeyed your orders ❌... But when this son of yours 👦 comes home 🏠, you kill the fattened calf 🐄 for him!’"

The elder brother's heart reveals a hidden danger — serving God with a transactional mindset. 🤨 He thought he deserved more because of his obedience. His bitterness blinded him from sharing his father’s joy. 😞 This attitude can creep into our hearts when we feel overlooked or when grace is shown to others we think don’t deserve it. 💔

Is there bitterness in your heart when others are blessed? 🤔 Ask God to expose any hidden pride or entitlement. 🙏 Real love rejoices when others receive God’s grace — even if they seem “less deserving.” 🎉❤️

    1. Have you ever felt resentful when someone else was blessed? 😠
    2. How can you guard your heart against pride and entitlement? 🛡️
    3. What does it look like to rejoice with heaven when the lost return? 🎊👼

Use this as a reminder to check your heart and celebrate God’s grace for all!

  • Waiting with an Expectant Heart
    Jul 22 2025

    Waiting with an Expectant Heart

    Luke 15:20 (NIV)
"But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him." ❤️‍🕊️

The father in the story of the prodigal son wasn’t passive. His heart longed for his son’s return, and he kept watching the road. When his son came back, the father ran — an act of love and eager acceptance. This is a picture of God’s heart: patient, hopeful, always ready to forgive and embrace the returning sinner. 🙏✨

Do you have loved ones or friends who are spiritually lost? Waiting can be painful, but it can also be filled with hope. Instead of giving up, keep praying 🙏, watching 👀, and preparing your heart 💖 to welcome them with open arms — just like the Father does. 🤗

    • Who are you waiting for to return to God? ⏳
    • How can you show a heart of grace even before they come back? 💌
    • What will you do today to strengthen your hope and patience? 🌱

  • God's Joy in Seeking the Lost
    Jul 21 2025

God’s Joy in Seeking the Lost

    Luke 15:4-7 (NIV)
"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’" 🐑✨

Jesus reveals God’s heart ❤️ in the parable of the lost sheep. Unlike those who judge or reject, God actively seeks the lost. He leaves the ninety-nine to pursue the one, and when He finds it, He doesn’t scold or shame — He rejoices with great joy 🎉. Heaven celebrates every time a lost person turns back to God 🙌. This shows how valuable each person is to the Lord. 🌟

You may sometimes feel indifferent or even critical of those far from God 🤔. But God’s heart is always to seek and save 💖. Are you willing to align your heart with His? Ask God to give you joy in reaching out to those who are still wandering 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️, and let their salvation become your joy too 😊🙏.

    1. How do you feel when you see someone far from God return to Him? 💭❤️
    2. What stops you from actively seeking the lost? 🚧
    3. How can you reflect God’s heart by reaching out to one person this week? 🤝📅
