I started with the episode of the Jupiter explosion and felt that, while it was interesting that the author was at this event as a reporter years ago, that it felt callous toward the crew member that died, and for those that were injured. It was further solidified when the author stated: "I reached out to several crew members and was either rejected or ignored." Rejected? Ignored? The former crew members owe a reporter nothing to go over this event. It sounded petulant to me. Why not say instead, "I reached out to former crew members and they either declined to speak with me or did not return my calls." Definitely disappointed and will not listen to more on this series.

I wanted to like it, as I love Great Lakes Shipping History
