Skeppy, a popular Minecraft gaming video creator on YouTube with over 6 million subscribers, was accused of predatory behaviour in a Twitter thread published by a burner account on April 9, 2022, as he was simultaneously being "cancelled" by his fanbase, and thus the larger MCYT and Dream SMP fanbase online, for recent questionable or "edgy" jokes based on a variety of controversial topics, including domestic abuse. Tonight's episode of the ScythedCreates podcast investigates whether any complaints about Skeppy's situation were valid - given that many people still consider his actions "unforgivable" - and also relays the allegations levelled against Skeppy, their plausibility, and my personal reasons for why Skeppy didn't do anything wrong in this situation and, as a result, shouldn't have been pursued to such an extent by his younger, activism-driven fanbase for his actions. Give your opinions using the hashtag #scythedcreates on social media, and you may be featured in a future episode.
