Should Rap Lyrics Be Used To Prosecute Artist

Recently, there have been a series of arrest of rap artist. Starting with an investigation and then leading to prosecutors using there lyrics as evidence in court. Is this a violation of our First Amendment? Or, is this perfectly fine because they say things of that nature in the lyrics? You tell me, but these are the words coming out of our mouths!
