She literally wrote the book on women's recovery

After growing through her own sobriety, Stephanie Covington, PhD, made an alarming discovery about recovery programs: they weren't developed with women in mind. After hearing others' struggles with programs that didn't apply to them, she set out to create the first treatment manuals with women's needs in mind, eventually writing books and programs catered to this very topic. Today, she sits down with us to reflect upon some of the waves she's made in the psychology community as well as discuss the themes of her new book, which explores sexuality, intimacy, and pleasure after a life of addiction and trauma.
