Kizzmekia Corbett is the lead scientist for coronavirus vaccine research at the National Institutes of Health. Her team developed and evaluated the COVID-19 Moderna vaccine. She sees her role as a communicator around the science. It's her job to teach and to empathize – despite all the anti-vaccination noise.
