Serve With Humility: How To Live Like Jesus

Greetings everyone, and may mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you. We will be in John 13 today. What does it look like to serve? Jesus showed us what it looks like to serve selflessly by washing the disciple’s feet, and explains humility. Yet at the same time, we see Satan entering Judas to selfishly betray Jesus for money. Our capacity to serve and love one another should be just as Jesus loved us. That’s a pretty high standard, and none of us will come close to that, but that’s what grace is for. It’s not going to be easy, even Peter messed up as soon as he was away from Jesus, and the same thing happens to us. That’s why our individual relationships are so important. The church needs one another to serve and humble one another, because without humility, the Gospel will be ineffective.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28 19-20
