Samuel and the temporary salvation and deliverance he brings (for Hannah and for Israel) are meant to point us ahead and prove to us that God can and will send the Savior and Deliverer His people need! 2) God is there; He does care; He is at work; and He can be trusted in even the most helpless, hopeless, and heartbreaking of circumstances.
