Self Reliance is a must

After asking for a raise, most of us feel dirty. We put in all this work for a company who then you have to go scrambling to just to ask for recognition. But, int the form of Pay wage increase, just to be grilled.

"Do you think you've earned it?" Which to me translates to" Are you WORTH it?" Like if I didnt put in all this work they would have still made the revenue? Its degrading to say the least. My work didn't convince you but my words will? Right
