In this episode of Journeys of Not So Ordinary People Podcast, hosts Dr. Joe Hamlett and Dr. Dave Peltz use the metaphor of a GPS to describe how we can more intentionally navigate our personal, professional, and career journeys. They argue that, rather than “hopping in the car and seeing where you end up,” you should treat your life like a road trip: set a destination, map out possible routes (including stops and detours), and remain flexible to reroute when circumstances change. They stress the value of doing research, checking your surroundings and assumptions (e.g. a company’s reputation, cost/risk of change), trusting your gut when something feels wrong, and being willing to recalibrate your “GPS” as your goals or the world shifts. Ultimately, the message is: have a plan, but stay adaptable; keep your goal in view — and update your map as needed, so you don’t end up somewhere you didn’t intend.JONSOP Website: https://jonsop.comEmail: jonsopdr2@gmail.com Dr. Joe Hamlett Email: dr.joehamlett@gmail.com Website: http:/www.leading2changeconsulting.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/drjoehamlett/ Link In Bio: http:/www.leading2changeconsulting.com/linkinbio/ Dr. Dave Peltz Email: PeltzCS@outlook.com Website: https://www.PeltzConsultingServices.com/services LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dr-david-peltz-phd/ Link In Bio: https://tinyurl.com/DrDavePeltz Music intro & Outro provided by David T.
