Season 1, Episode 6: Fillers

You can use them to buy time, while away time, and pretend you’re having a conversation even when you don’t want to. Fillers—quite literally—fill in for you in conversations almost all the time.

In this episode, we speak to a number of people to find out what particular filler word is their all-time favourite and how they make use of fillers when faced with controversial topics, questions whose answers they know nothing about, and conversations they’d like to keep away from or merely play spectators to.
