In this special episode, we're discussing Sara Jane Moore. In 1975, inspired by Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme of the Manson Family, Moore fired a shot at President Gerald Ford in San Francisco. Decades later, finally out of prison, she met a man on eHarmony and they soon married. We wanted to explore both of these events. To do so, we brought in Stacy Redd, past guest and Presidential Assassination Historian.
In this episode, we jump in the Time Machine (3:29) and travel to 1975 for trivia on both the first episode of Saturday Night Live and, separately, David Bowie. Then we discuss the Sara Jane Moore story (22:43). Our jumping off point is an article from the New York Times, She Tried to Kill a President. He Loved Her Anyway.
