Ecclesiastes 10:8 (KJV)
He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.
Over the years, I’ve been asked if curses and spells can affect a Christian. My answer remains the same: when you’re born again, you inherit blessings, not curses. No born-again Christian should suffer curses; that's a malfunction. If you stay in the Word and live by God’s principles, you're automatically protected from the enemy’s schemes.
So why do some Christians wallow in curses? Today’s verse holds the key: living outside the Word opens doors to the snakes. They’ve broken the hedge, giving snakes legal access to their lives. (Proverbs 26:2) says, “...the curse causeless shall not come.” Meaning, if it comes, there was a cause.
Stay in the Word this year. Strange oil will only flow freely if the hedge remains intact.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Any spell or curse spoken over my family and me is broken in the Name of Jesus! I choose to stay soaked up in the Word of God from today. My hedge is intact!
