  • The EV Biomolecular Corona and Organising with ISEV - Dr Metka Lenassi
    Mar 31 2025

In this episode we Liam speaks to Dr Metka Lenassi who leads a research group based in Slovenia with a focus on extracellular vesicles (EVs) in HIV. Metka was, until recently ,the ISEV Executive Chair of Science and Journals. We discuss what is involved in this position and more generally what is the process of joining the ISEV executive committee. Metka was also part of the IOC organizing the recent ISEV EV Biomolecular Corona workshop in Italy. Metka fills us in on some of what took place at this workshop.

  • EV Cell Biology and an Early History of the Field with Dr. Guillaume Van Niel
    Feb 27 2025

In this episode of the SNEV podcast we hear from Guillaume Van Niel about what the field was like in the early days of the first International Society for Extracellular Vesicles (ISEV) meeting and the organizations founding. How there was little awareness at the time that it would expand to be the field we know today. Guillaume also shares his thinking behind writing one of the most highly cited reviews in the extracellular vesicle (EV) field. This discussion may give you some useful insights into EV cell biology/intercellular communication, using zebra fish models for EV research and writing your own reviews.
