SFPD and Fire fighters face off to see who has the edge in turkey carving

San Francisco’s Police and Fire fighters faced off in the Salvation Army’s kitchen to find who is tops when it comes to carving the Thanksgiving turkey. Shoppers are scrambling, not necessarily for turkeys but for all the other sides. If you’re heading to the Oakland Airport you won’t need to make any time to stop at a newsstand. According to the CDC, thousands of Americans are killed or hospitalized every year due to Carbon Monoxide poisoning which can be caused by natural gas appliances. The late martial artist Bruce Lee, who was born in San Francisco, would've turned 85 on Thanksgiving Day. In honor of the occasion, an exhibit dedicated to his life and legacy is letting people in for free. The California Highway Patrol is ramping up enforcement during the long holiday weekend, starting 6pm Wednesday through Sunday at midnight.
