SF Giants Win Road Series vs. Champs But Falter in Finale

All told, the San Francisco Giants had a nice series vs. the defending World Series champion Texas Rangers. The Giants took two out of three but lost in the finale, squander a chance to sweep. After losing the first two games of their six-game road trip, the SF Giants overall rebounded nicely to have a .500 trip against two contending teams.

Heliot Ramos stayed hot in the Giants' wins. Ramos' breakout has been perhaps the best story of the 2024 season so far for the SF Giants. Wilmer Flores, who's been filling in at first base for the injured LaMonte Wade Jr., also had a big game that contributed to a Giants win.

Spencer Howard did a very nice job over 4.2 innings to help the Giants win Game 2 of the series. Howard's numbers and likelihood of sticking in San Francisco's rotation are discussed. Additionally, Keaton Winn came off the IL and was roughed up in Sunday's loss. Winn has poor numbers on the season and his status in the Giants' rotation moving forward is talked about as well.
