SELF CONFIDENCE IS OVERRATED

There is an absolute insufficiency in self when following Jesus!

 
God gives a Holy insufficiency to the devoted follower. 

Remember: it is our weakness that reveals Christ's strength.   

 
Be AWARE of the difference between the insufficiency of GOD and the INSECURITY of your flesh!!

In fact, you will never make a God impression on others until you stop thinking about what sort of SELF -impression you’re making.

 -Welcome vulnerability

 Authentic connection to God comes through weakness and not fleshly strength.

See Philippians 3:3-11

Here are the hacks against self-confidence

1.     Establish your priorities

• What do I want?  Temporary or real?  The Temporary is feeling confident in the flesh, what you know, or in your reputation!

2.     Focus within, not without.  

•  Awkward insufficiency is better than outer confidence.  

3.     Beware of sliding over into inferiority:

• The opposite of inferiority is worth, not superiority.
