SAMANTHA

This episode is about my longest-standing friendship — 27 years and counting. We met in 1996, and from that moment on, Samantha became a constant in my life. She was a pillar for me during times when I needed love, stability, and someone who truly saw me.

Now let’s be clear — no friendship is perfect. We’ve argued. We’ve talked our shit. We’ve had sister fights. But that’s exactly what we are — sisters. The kind where you don’t talk for six months, then pick up the phone and it’s like no time passed at all.

Her family loved me like I was their own. When my life felt unstable, their home felt safe. And while Samantha and I were raised differently, our bond stayed solid. Blood couldn’t make us closer. In many ways, she’s more of a sister to me than my biological one.

This episode is my thank you to her — for being part of my journey, for loving me when I needed it most, and for showing me what real friendship looks like.
