Welcome to a new season of How Could We?, recorded live at the SB62 June Climate meeting in Bonn, a key conference in the lead up to the upcoming United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) COP30 in Brazil.
This week, host Anne-Sophie Garrigou interviews a scientist (Bart van den Hurk, IPCC Working Group II Co-Chair), a negotiator (Genaro Matías Godoy González, Chile's Acting Lead Negotiator on Finance) and a civil society representative (Aline Baroni, Country Director at ProVeg Brasil). They talk about what they think the main challenges facing the COP30 presidency are this year and what they can share about what is happening behind the scenes.
We also talk about what shifts are needed at COP 30 as well as how the conference’s mutirão call aims to bring people together to mobilise for climate action.
