Welcome to the latest episode of How Could We?, recorded live at the ChangeNOW summit in Paris - an event focused on showcasing sustainable solutions and profiling sustainability leaders making an impact.
This season is focused on adaptation and climate resilience - and for this week's episode, Anne-Sophie Garrigou is joined by François Gemmene, a researcher and IPCC lead author.
François' work focuses mostly on the human impacts of climate change, including migration and displacement, as well as issues such as security conflicts, inequalities and development.
In this episode, François discusses the evolving relationship between climate adaptation policies and migration governance, what a just transition means in the context of adaptation, why local and regional governments are uniquely positioned to lead the way and his work on the Pathways2Resilience EU programme, which helps support regions through long-term adaptation.
