Howard Crook is a hard man who isn't afraid of much. But life on the outside of prison walls is harder than he anticipated, and despite his best efforts to "straighten up and fly right", old habits die hard. What happens when those habits lead him right back into his old self-destructive tendencies, and turn out to be so much more than he ever imagined?
