Russian Folklore.

Russian folklore was formed in the process of the formation of the Old Russian nationality, and then the Russian nation on the basis of the traditions of the ancient Slavic tribes and their historical predecessors. Before the emergence of writing and literature in Russia, folklore was the only type of artistic creativity, a form of folk memory, an expression of the people's worldview.
