  • Prepping for Rush: Recruitment Outfits and Real-Life Survival Tips
    Mar 11 2026

Everyone has a rush packing list, but not all of them make sense for Oklahoma State. In this episode of Rush Talk, we're cutting through the TikTok chaos, the influencer "must-haves," and the expensive extras to talk about what girls actually need for OSU sorority recruitment.

Brooke and Chloe walk through recruitment outfits round by round, from Zoom and philanthropy to sisterhood and preference, with honest advice on what works, what doesn't, and how to look put together without overthinking every detail. They talk about the OSU-specific vibe, why campus culture matters more than generic rush advice, and how to choose outfits that feel cute, comfortable, and like you. They also get into the real MVP of recruitment week: the rush bag. From backup shoes and portable chargers to deodorant, snacks, fans, and emergency outfit fixes, this episode covers the practical stuff that can save your day when Oklahoma heat and long walks hit hard.

If you've been wondering what to buy, what to skip, and how to prep without blowing your budget, this is the episode for you.

  • #4 Prepping for Rush: Resumes, Rec Letters, and Registration Tips
    Mar 4 2026

You already cleaned up your social media… now it’s time for the part that feels “basic” but can absolutely shape how recruitment goes: what you officially submit for sorority recruitment.

In this episode, Brooke and Chloe walk through the sorority recruitment registration process — when it opens (early summer), what gets uploaded, and how chapters actually use that info. Spoiler: your resume is basically your “elevator pitch,” and it helps houses learn your GPA, activities, leadership, and what you’re likely to get involved in once you’re on campus.

They also dig into the surprisingly tricky question: should you list Greek affiliation/legacy connections?

Brooke shares what she did for her daughter — and why, if she could redo it, she’d handle that line very differently. Then it’s rec letters: what they are, how much they matter now (hint: not like “back then”), which schools still treat them seriously, and why “RECs from strangers on Facebook” can be more cringe than helpful. You’ll also get a practical checklist for what to send an alum writing your rec (resume, cover letter, photo file, PDF format) and the simplest etiquette move most people forget: the thank you note.

  • #3 Prepping for Rush: Make Social Media an Asset, Not a Liability
    Feb 25 2026

Social media isn't just "a thing" during OSU sorority recruitment; it's part of the process.

In this episode of our three part Prepping for Rush series, we get real about how chapters actually use Instagram, TikTok, and yes...even Facebook to learn who you are before you ever step into a conversation.

Chloe breaks down why having a social presence matters, how chapters match PNMs (potential new members) with members ahead of time, and what they're really scanning for (hint: it's not just aesthetics, it's risk, drama, and liability).

We talk about what to post, what to delete, and why too many selfies or boyfriend-only pics can raise eyebrows fast. You'll also hear the "quiet stuff" people don't always say out loud: tagged photos matter, captions matter, your bio can signal a vibe, and alumni and moms absolutely do some digging.

Then we get into RushTok. It's fun, it's addictive, and it's not always smart to post during recruitment. We explain why "save it for after Bid Day" might be the best advice you hear all season.

  • #2 Is it Rush or is it Recruitment?
    Feb 25 2026

So what does recruitment week actually look like at Oklahoma State, day by day, when you’re living it?

In this episode of Rush Talk, Brooke and Chloe break down the real timeline (and the real emotions) behind what everyone still calls "rush." From the awkward-but-important Zoom open house round to move-in day chaos, philanthropy round, sisterhood round, preference, and the confetti-flying sprint to Bid Day, we walk you through what happens and when.

You’ll hear how recruitment has changed since Brooke’s OSU days (yes, there were door chants, snacks you couldn't leave with, and even full-on skit day costumes), and what still stays the same: the heat, the exhaustion, and the pressure to keep your smile on even when your face is tired. We also talk about cuts (why they’re usually not personal), how moms can support without spiraling, and the underrated practical stuff like Wi-Fi, crickets in the dorms, and why everyone gets sick after recruitment.

  • #1 Meet Your Sorority Recruitment Insiders — We Are Rush Talk
    Feb 25 2026

So… what actually happens during sorority recruitment?

In this kickoff episode of Rush Talk, you’re meeting your insiders.

Brooke is a former Oklahoma State University sorority girl turned sorority mom who's mentored hundreds of families through recruitment — and even started a parents group when she realized how many moms were spiraling during rush week. Chloe is a recent chapter president who lived in-house for three years, made the lists, signed the bid cards, and saw recruitment from the inside.

Together, they break down their own Greek journeys — from getting cut as a triple legacy, to running a chapter, to navigating rush as a mom during the TikTok era. They talk about how recruitment has changed, why OSU rush is its own "animal," what COVID and Bama Rush did to the process, and why not all internet advice applies to every campus.
