Disney had Fantasyland. The Ruck 'n Roll equivalent is Peakville, a land of endless buffets, unlimited litigation, pointless conversations and tuneless music. With that in mind, we forge on regardless to discuss a wide and varied array of human connection points like football, cricket and death, as well as some lighter subjects like death, cricket and football.

Did someone say footy tripping? Did one, or even two panellists tip the card? Why are Finey and Kev smiling?

Musically, it is a murky trek back to April 1st 1983 and the iconic 3XY Top 40 of the day and the sea was angry that day, my friend, no April foolin'. Kilimanjaro was rising, cannibals were being eaten and Terry from Minder was belting out bad guys and the odd show tune.

Get your dancing shoes on and party like it's 1999 or the Summer of '69 or even December '63. Hit the play button and away we go..........

We are only two rounds into the AFL season, but the tension is palpable, the emotions are stirring, the loins are being girded and the goats are being scaped. Footy tipping really is serious business, isn't it?

In unrelated news, the Patron Saint of Losing Thoroughbreds Stephen J Peak has had a life changing experience, so too our resident social butterfly Ken Francis, who has been gigging in Frankston and lived to tell the tale.

Musically, our fab four dissect John Lennon's non Beatles music and it is a rollercoaster from Cold Turkey to Beautiful Boy with a dash of Instant Karma and Oh Yoko thrown in.

It's an episode so chunky you could carve it.

  • Have You Heard The News?
    Mar 10 2026

Finey had a better offer, so it is the gleesome threesome discussing the events of the week. And what a week, with footy, Formula One and cricket providing plenty to slice and dice. Despite that, SJP gets in a tizz over an AFL player's jewellery and players not wearing gloves. No-one said it had to make sense and it rarely does.

Musically, it is a trip back to January 1966 for the 3UZ Official Top 40 with The Carnival is Over by the Seekers in the Number One spot. What a treasure trove of memories. Will it be Good News Week? Lies? Or Que Sera Sera? Maybe The Sounds of Silence would be more appropriate!

For those about to Ruck, we salute you ...
