Rosella and Vi-Vi are back with Shea Locke to discuss their journey from Ceruelan City to Vermillion City in FireRed and LeafGreen. Join them as they discover the daycare, find guards and a Snorlax blocking their paths, and a lot of battling aboard a ship. This all leads up to a finale where they try and breach the barrier at Lt. Surge's gym so they can earn their Thunder Badges.

Afterward, the trio discuss two episodes of the Anime which also involve the cruise ship and the Electric Gym!

But that's not all. In the Anime, May starts her journey through the contests and picks up a Recurring Rival!

This week we battle the Dewford Gym in the Manga and AGAIN in the Anime!

First, in the Manga, the wrong person runs into Steven and Ruby's Pokemon evolve while Sapphire prepares for her gym battle with Brawly.

Then, in the Anime, the final starter Pokemon of Hoenn is met...times a hundred. Corphish causes problems, Birch shows back up, and Jessie is in denial. Through more evolutions and a convergence of the three teams (Aqua, Magma, and Rocket) eventually leads the story back to Brawly and a secret arena where Ash tries again to earn that second badge.

This week we get to know Mr. Briney and his Wingull Peeko. First, in the Manga, we finally catch back up with Ruby with his rescuer, Mr. Briney and we get another hint at Ruby's capabilities as a Pokemon Trainer.

Then, in the Anime, after a run in with Team Aqua, the gang hitch a ride from Mr. Briney toward Dewford where they deal with a shark attack. Then Ash mirrors my own efforts at Brawly's gym and loses!

What does he do next? How much of the Corphish line to we get to see? And who is hanging out in Granite Cave?

Then, after the episode, we catch up with Murasaki and Beck as entering Saffron seems to be difficult and Murasaki reunites with some old friends.
