Some random thoughts while listening:
In high school Romero and Juliet was sold as the greatest love story ever, when in fact Romeo is just getting over Rosaline, suddenly and Juliet is a rebound
Maaaan those gun fighting scenes are cringe. Everyone’s get a gun, everyone’s a terrible shot- where are the cops..Modern guns in the place of swords makes sense in the context of the modern adaptation, but I’m not sure it worked; I’d have to see it again to be sure
I had forgotten that Harold Perrineau was in the movie. He was good in Lost. I haven’t seen From (yet) but I’m happy he’s found success in mid life
Bonus points if anyone saw Hot Fuzz, with it’s intentionally God awful adaptation - featuring Lovefool by the Cardigans
After hearing your take I’m convinced that the movie elevated the original play.
$300 for a kidnapping ransom 🤣 That’s the movie I want to see
A $300 ransom?!
