Ce devait être des « jours de paix et de musique » comme en 1969, mais ce fut tout le contraire. Rage, chaos et musique, voilà le malheureux triptyque qui résume le festival Woodstock 99. Frustration, chaleurs infernales, émeutes, agressions sexuelles… Au lieu d'être célébré le temps d'un week-end avant le passage au nouveau millénaire, le rêve hippie a été brisé, frappé, incendié et laissé pour mort durant un long week-end de 4 jours entre le 22 et le 25 juillet 1999.
