Gordon Manning's new England quarterback rating was 101.1 throwing for 4,598 yards and 37 touchdowns and 13 interceptions and leading the team to 7 - 10 records they did not make the playoffs. Manning is the #6 ranked quarterback in the league based on his overall rating putting him in the top 1% of quarterbacks. Manning won AFC Player of the Week (week 7) manning says thanks for meeting with me out here. Elliot says we are brothers no need to thank me for anything. looks like it was another tough season for you again. Manning says yea but I still feel good enough to play. Elliot says do you think they will resign you in the offseason. Manning says I don't think so. teams like to win and I have not been doing that often. but if they don't I am sure another franchise will take me on I am still a top 6 quarterback in the league. somebody out there will see value in that. Elliot says yea you're right just stay focused on being in shape and ready for the season when it comes around. if they don't resign you where would you like to play? Manning Says I was hoping maybe Houston they were looking at me when Oakland was trading me. now they don't have to lose any people and sign me in free agency. All I want to do is win. and I believe I can lead I just need a good team around me. Elliot says yea I mean you've been to the conference championship game a couple of times In your career. but can never get to the Superbowl. Manning says yea but I will break that curse before I leave the game. Elliot says how is the wife in kids? Manning says they're doing great. My wife is happy. She just doesn't like to relocate as much as we have been doing it and my son is getting ready to enter the NBA. he is so tall Elliot says yea I remember going to his games. he is going to be a problem in the NBA watch. Manning says yea I hope so. he told me the league was too dangerous for him. he didn't like all the hard hits and stuff like that. Elliot says I agree. Manning says I heard you cut to be in the Hall of Fame congratulations. Elliot says yea I am getting My speech together now. it's a great moment to see that the game we play loves us the way that We love the game. and I have been thinking about what you said about the coaching job. I have been doing some interviews and filling out applications. but haven't heard anything back yet. but I have been invited for an interview to talk about sports I can't wait to do that. Manning says ok I will tune in. Elliot says thank you. They part ways. a couple of days later. Elliot appears on the show and they ask him about being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Elliot says it'd be a great honor to be in there with some of the greatest players of all time. the interviewer says indeed it is. how do you think your friend Manning will fair? Elliot, he will make the Hall of Fame as well. I just don't think he will win a ring though. The league is too fast and he seems to have lost a step or two. the interviewer says wow I thought you guys were friends. Elliot says we are friends but we are also rivals.
