If you're like me, you will encounter resistance to meditation at some point. The optimal response to that situation is to meditate on what that resistance is. Acceptance is healing. By accepting what the resistance is, we are now in a position to choose to move forward anyway.
The bigger the resistance is, the greaer is the benefit to us and others of working through that resistance with acceptance.
